March 26, Anti-Bullying Bill Sponsor to Speak at Temple Emanuel

State Representative Rick Glazier, who worked tirelessly for years to pass the School Violence Prevention Act, will speak at Temple Emanuel's second annual GLBT Shabbat service at 8pm on Friday, March 26.  With its passage last summer, the SVPA became the first (and only) law in the southeast US to protect citizens from discrimination based on sexual orientation or gender identity.  GSAFE is cosponsoring this event, and hosting the refreshments following the service.  Our friends and supporters are welcome!  Come share in this spiritual evening and hear Rep. Glazier share his thoughts on the passage of this landmark legislation that is already making North Carolina's schools safer for all.
